The future of materials.

Helvicon granules

Helvicon TPS granulate is a modern polymer material based on potato starch, designed for use in plastics processing. It was developed for companies seeking functional solutions based on renewable raw materials.

The material can be processed using standard technologies such as extrusion, blown film extrusion, and thermoforming, allowing for implementation without the need for significant changes to existing machinery.

Key features:
- raw material base derived from potato starch
- compatible with standard processing lines
- wide range of industrial applications
- formulation can be tailored to client needs
- selected end products may offer biodegradability and compostability potential

Biopolymers - Next-Generation Materials

Biopolymers are a group of polymer materials made wholly or partly from renewable raw materials such as plant starch.

In the materials developed under the Helvicon brand, one of the key ingredients is potato starch, which, after appropriate processing, can serve as a base for modern polymer materials. During the modification process, it can be converted into thermoplastic starch (TPS - Thermoplastic Starch) used in biopolymer production.

We design our biopolymers to:
• offer performance properties similar to conventional plastics
• be processed on standard production lines
• enable the development of highly functional products
• meet biodegradability and compostability requirements

We develop Helvicon biopolymers for film and packaging manufacturers, as well as for industries using polymer materials across a wide range of industrial applications.

Thanks to formulations based on potato starch, our materials can support sustainability strategies and ESG goals while remaining compatible with existing production lines used in the plastics industry.

Applications of Helvicon Materials

Ourbiopolymers make it possible to create a wide range of products, including:
• films and bags
• single-use packaging
• waste management products, including bags designed for the collection of organic waste

These solutions combine high functionality with an approach that takes the full material life cycle into account. One of the key application areas for compostable materials is selective organic waste collection within municipal waste management systems.

Compostable Bags for Organic Waste Collection

We offer compostable bags designed for the collection oforganic waste in households.

Our solutions are developed to support selective organic waste collection systems and improve the quality of the organic waste stream directed to processing facilities.

The use of compostable bags can:
• make it easier for local communities to collect household organic waste
• reduce the presence of conventional plastics in the organic waste stream
• improve the efficiency of organic waste collection systems

Bags made from compostable materials can undergo biological decomposition in composting processes, becoming part of broader organic waste management systems.

Compostability Certification

Our materials and products are designed to meet there quirements of recognized compostability certification systems such as OK compost HOME and OK compost INDUSTRIAL.

These certifications confirm a material’s ability to compost under home-composting conditions and its compliance with requirements relating to:
• biodegradability
• compostability
• environmental
• safety

Our Offering

Under the Helvicon brand, we develop material solutions for use across various areas of the packaging industry and waste management sector.

Our offering includes:
• biopolymer compounds intended for further processing
• compostable films
• compostable bags
• single-use bags

Our solutions are intended both for packaging manufacturers and plastics processors, as well as for partners developing technologies that support the circular economy, including waste management entities and local government institutions.
